I grew up here in the picturesque countryside of Stuart, Virginia. Patrick County provided a childhood for me that I will forever be grateful for. The simplicity, the nature, and the close knit community. At an early age I’d encounter God down by the river, hiking in the woods, going to youth group. However, I certainly wasn’t always grateful for it it all. Somehow deep down I had always felt a pull to go out into the world. See it all and taste that it was good.
I went to Montreat College to play college soccer and get out of our small town. At Montreat I gave my life to Jesus and also met my husband Stephen. During those years I was fortunate to travel all over the world sharing the Good news. China, Thailand, Vietnam, Jamaica, Brazil, Chicago,…
Right out of college Stephen and I became inner city missionaries with the organization Missionary Athletes International in Charlotte, NC. For 5 years we lived in a refugee neighborhood as incarnation missionaries to the beautiful people living in that neighborhood, using soccer as a platform to build relationships and share the love of Jesus.
We now have 3 beautiful young children who absolutely love living back here in the most beautiful place in the world.
When I met Jesus, He grabbed my heart, gripped it with grace, and I find deep purpose & passion in His presence.
I spend my days running, writing, and playing with my kids.
I love getting together with people for coffee and having friends around our table. I'm passionate about helping others live life to the full the way Jesus intended. It’s my honor and joy to serve Stuart Presbyterian and the community as the Director of Family Ministries.
